A receiver can bridge a short event, but pressure will continue to fall if demand remains above compressor output. For recurring peaks, review compressor capacity, local storage, pipe restrictions and the process cycle.
The formulas are provided as planning aids. Receiver calculations use an ideal-gas storage approximation with atmospheric pressure of 1.01325 bar. Final design must be verified for the selected equipment, control method, pressure rating and application.
